IMPLANTS
Are used to replace missing teeth by means of
inserting a screw into the jaw. This is considered
a very complex procedure, unfortunately not every
patient can have implants. The condition of the
bone of the jaw and general health of the patient
must be suitable for implant.
The steps that your dentist and you must go through
are:
• Evaluating your health
• Evaluating the status of the mouth
• Taking models of the mouth
• X-rays
• Constructing guide for implant insertion.
• Surgical insertion of implant
• 2 -6 month time period to allow the bone to
heal around the implant
• Placement of the prosthesis (Crown Or Denture)
Some cases may require one or two surgical interventions.
For example:
• Add bone to the jaw were there is no enough
bone support.
• Remove unwanted structures like remaining root
underneath the bone.
Implant success is becoming more predictable &
popular in nowadays. Therefore, our main advise
is not to jump into placing implant without understanding
what is involved in process in placing dental
implant & the amount of dedication required
by the patient in maintaining the implants.
